Dear Colleagues and NAPO Seattle Area Chapter Guests,

The Board of the Chapter regrets and is deeply disappointed to announce that we are cancelling tonight’s presentation. We hope that Dr. Paul, a vibrant, innovative, thought-provoking member of the Organizing community, will be back for her presentation, whether in-person, or perhaps via a webinar or other technology, at a future date.

Research and experience show clearly that trying to accomplish something all the time is detrimental to our health, relationships and our productivity.  We need significant down time every week.  Yet, particularly if we are disorganized, overwhelmed and stressed, stopping is hard!!  How do we stop taking action?  There is much to learn from the Western spiritual tradition of Sabbath/Shabbat.  In fact, the word Shabbat simply means stop.

Dr. Paul, hosted by the Seattle Area chapter of the National Association of Productivity and Organizing Professionals (NAPO), will show why it is important to stop every week and will provide the tools and mindset that can make this happen.  She is known for her lively talks that are full of humor, compassion and optimism.

Dr. Paul is a consultant, coach and speaker on the topic of sustainable productivity.  She is a Principal of Bridgeway Partners organizational consulting and the author of An Oasis in Time:  How a Day of Rest Can Save Your Life (Rodale, 2017) and It’s Hard to Make a Difference When You Can’t Find Your Keys (Penguin, 2004)   She was chosen as a Top 100 Leadership Speaker 2018 by Inc.com.  Her work has appeared in USA Today, Success Magazine, Inc.com, Spirituality and Health Magazine and many other publications.

Guest Fee

We welcome anyone to visit our meetings. The guest fee is $25 ($26 via credit card, pre-registration available with this link, up to 5:00PM of the day of the meeting) for each meeting you attend as a guest. We only accept cash or checks at the door. Membership in the National Association of Productivity and Organizing Professionals (NAPO) is required before membership on the chapter level can be processed.


We pride ourselves on being a cohesive, positive, enthusiastic group and welcome everyone who would like to attend. Brainstorming and idea sharing are encouraged. It is important to represent NAPO and the organizing industry in a professional manner. We ask that you wear business casual attire to the meetings. All meetings will begin on time with the intention of ending on time. Please make every effort to arrive at the meeting on time.
